Donation transport to the Ahr valley

Many winegrowers in the Ahr Valley have been immensely affected by the floods. They have not only lost all wine stocks from previous years, but also machinery needed for the upcoming grape harvest.

The Kaiserstühl vintners Eva Köpfer from the Abril winery and Marita Karle from the Gerhard Karle winery have launched a fundraising campaign for fellow vintners in the Ahr region. In addition to many donations in kind, such as stainless steel tanks, barrels, or vineyard machinery, about 67,000 euros have already been collected.

In the middle of last week, the equipment for the beginning grape harvest was loaded at our premises in Breisach on the Kleyling site and then driven to the affected winegrowers on the Ahr at shipping costs.
